On Saturday Mission Everesting took place (RSC Grossbeeren 05 e.V.) und Big Forests Frameworks was there for the action. The goal of Mission Everlasting was to raise money for the charity Kinderhilfe, in exchange for vertical meters on the Brocken. A few of the riders had the goal to ride 18 times up and down the Brocken, equaling the height of Mt. Everest (8848m). Sounds crazy, and it is, but 2 riders from the group managed to pull it off! And even better, the group raised in total almost 8000 Euro for Kinderhilfe, pretty amazing for a group of about 35 riders. Personally I had a great time at the event, and managed to drag myself to the summit 5 times over the course of the day which in my current not-so-fit condition was a pretty big effort. I hope we will see Mission Everlasting again in 2017, and if so I will definitely be there again. Many thanks on Kay for the organization, and all who helped out in base camp with food an water to keep me going throughout the day. Couldn’t have done it without you!
