Michael brazed this great road bike frame with us in 2021, and now the bike is completed…
How did you come up with the idea of building your own frame?
I have been toying with the idea of building my own frame for some time… I have always wanted to stand out from the crowd and do my own thing!
Why did you choose this frame? What do you plan to do with it?
Steel frames have become dear to me over the last few years! I just don’t like aluminum and carbon! I need a frame that I might rebuild in 10 years. I definitely want to ride a lot with it!
What is special to you about your self-built frame?
That it is unique! Just as I envisioned it!
How was your time in the frame building course?
The time in the workshop with Robert was really cool!! Unfortunately, one day goes by way too quickly.
How does your finished bike ride?
It almost rides by itself! Silent over the asphalt and very comfortable! I think it’s also the pride that drives you and makes you not realize that the climb takes forever.
How did you find me, and how did you hear about the frame building courses?
A buddy regularly sends me links to biking sites… I found Robert’s site interesting and simply asked if it would be possible to build a frame in August…
