The steel frame with straight tube built from Columbus HSS, with its 44mm bi-oval down tube, is super stiff for the best power transfer possible. The Disc Racer is fast and agil, and you feel it the first time you push down on the pedals. However, the relatively thin and bent seat stays take the edge off of less than ideal surfaces, combined with 28mm tire clearance, give a relatively comfortable ride. I love this bike!
