We love classic road frames. They still look great today, whether they’ve been ridden 100,000 kilometers over the past 50 years, or coming fresh from the factory floor. But we also love modern standards. We love disc brakes for gravel, combined with a tapered fork. But lugs are not made which can fit a tapered fork. So, we left out one of the lugs and fillet brazed it. And here is the stunning result…. Built from Columbus Spirit and Life tubes, up to 35mm tire clearance, with a tapered 34/44mm head tube and a Columbus Futura Gravel fork to match, we managed to produce a modern lugged road machine that turns heads and will stand the test of time just as it’s forefathers have.

FRAME Lugged Columbus Spirit & Life – a great compromise between frame stiffness and comfort optimized for gravel and long days in the saddle. Over-oversize 35mm down tube. Tapered 34/44 head tube for the best steering and braking performance. Flat Mount disc brake. Drilled lugs for style and weight optimization. Fastback style seat lug ist bomber strong, looks awesome, and gives plenty of tire clearance. Optional braze-ons for running fenders and a rear rack. Tire clearance to 35mm. Stainless steel adapters for the front derailleur keeps the frame looking good longer. 142×12 through axle, the best choice for a disc frame. Choose your favorite color for the frame and tree!
