Great news coming in just now from the Oderbruch! The Big Forest Frameworks Bike & Bivy weekend is just around the corner! A 2-day tour is planned from Potsdam to the Naturerlebnishof Uferloos in Letschin, east of Berlin on the Oder.  We ride from Potsdam to Letschin on Saturday, September 21st, returning the next day on Sunday, September 22nd. The route(s) are planned so that you should expect around 150 km of fantastic asphalt each day. We will ride from Potsdam around Berlin roughly counter-clockwise.  The routes are provisional for now, and will be confirmed later.

Day 1, Saturday (145km) (view the route on komoot):

Day 2, Sunday (148km) (view the route on komoot):

We’ll get a whole area at Uferloos just for ourselves. There is the option of sleeping in tents or in a hammock (you’ll need to bring your own tent or hammock). The cost for the weekend is €60 per person, which includes dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday, the overnight stay which comes with a fire pit.  The food at Uferloos is always something special, so we think the price is very fair.

If you don’t want to camp or just want to carry less: We also have the option of sleeping in a yurt for the same price. You would still have to bring a sleeping mat and a sleeping bag. Finally, you can also sleep in a circus wagon. If you’d like to rent a circus wagon, please let me know so I can capacity and prices.

We plan to ride at around 25 km/h, so around 6 hours of riding. Because the route is almost entirely asphalt, we recommend riding a road bike. If you prefer to ride a gravel bike, please consider putting narrower slicks on for the weekend.  If there is a group of around 15 riders, we would probably split the group according to fitness. Otherwise, we could also form smaller, faster groups. But in any case, no one will be left behind! The point of this event is not to be fast, but to get out and experience something great together.

I hope that many of you will come along and I am really looking forward to the event!✌🏼 Please confirm your participation as soon as possible (by September 16th) to help with the planning.
